About TeleCaptcha
TeleCaptcha is an innovative phone number verification service using calls. The innovativeness of the project lies in its uniqueness and significant advantages over the long-existing method of checking phone numbers using SMS messages. The service allows you to completely abandon expensive SMS and replace them with a profitable way to authorize a user by the last four digits of an incoming call, which allows our customers to significantly reduce the cost of verifying user telephone numbers, as well as checking users from spam/fraud/bot.
Services
There are two main Services: Call TeleCaptcha and Voice TeleCaptcha
Call TeleCaptcha
Call TeleCaptcha provides verification code inside the calling phone number. Whenever a user wants to login to self-service website on an app they would visit the resource and normally enter login/password credentials. In order to protect the user’s account from takeover the service provider would be able to put TeleCaptcha widget on its page. The user would need to provide its phone number in accordance with confidential policy of the service provider and then click ‘verify’ button. The TeleCaptcha platform would process that request and send an incoming call via telecommunication network to the user’s device. User would see the last digits of the incoming phone number and would simply need to enter those 4 digits into the appropriate form in the widget. TeleCaptcha widget will check the provided verification code and if it’s a match would let user log in
Voice TeleCaptch
Voice TeleCaptcha provides verification code in the voice message after call pick up by the user. There is no difference in the TeleCaptcha widget layout but just a configuration on the backend side of the platform. The Use Case of the Voice TeleCaptcha is similar to Call TeleCaptcha with the only difference that the user needs to pick up the phone and listen to the code voiced by the robot (e.g. ‘your code is 1234’). In this case the verification code is not included into the incoming phone number.
Products
The service works on the basis of two Products Tele Captcha Premium and Tele Captcha Cloud Platform.
TeleCaptcha Premium
Premium product of TeleCaptcha service is designed for customers who need more privacy in their IT services. In the Premium product the TeleCaptcha software is installed in the customer’s data center and TeleCaptcha company only providers the software license, servers (upon request), perform installation and offer support services. In this case TeleCaptcha staff has zero visibility of the API requests and phone calls passing through customer’s instance of the service. For stable operation of the Premium product TeleCaptcha company recommends installing two servers with specific technical requirements and could help with purchase and delivery of such servers. Since TeleCaptcha is not a telecom operator all telephone services would need to be purchased by the customer directly from the Telephony Service Provider.

The Premium TeleCaptcha product use case would look as follows:
1. User provides their phone number onto TeleCaptcha widget on the customer’s page/app and the widget makes a request to in-premises TeleCaptcha platform of the customer
2. The Premium TeleCaptcha product processes the request and make phone call request to the International Telephony Service Provider (ITSP) using the calling number with a 4-digit verification code.
3. The ITSP routes the phone call to the destination Operator
4. The destination Operator delivers the phone call to the user’s device and the user enters the code in the widget form for verification.
TeleCaptcha Cloud
The Cloud version of TeleCaptcha product is designed for customers who would like to pilot the service with minimum investments and do not have enough authentication traffic from their users to purchase full-scale solution. The difference with Premium product is that Cloud version is located in the TeleCaptcha company’s data center and shared between all users of the Cloud product. At the same time TeleCaptcha is following all security protocols to avoid any data leakage on the Cloud platform. So customer doesn’t’ need to purchase expensive servers no spent resources on integration into own data center and contracting with the Telephony Service Provider since that is already done by TeleCaptcha. Cloud product delivers lowest time to market value for customers interesting in securing their online resources.

The Cloud TeleCaptcha product use case would look as follows:
1. User provides their phone number onto TeleCaptcha widget and the widget makes a request the Cloud TeleCaptcha platform
2. The Cloud TeleCaptcha product processes the request and makes phone call to the destination Operator using the calling number with a 4-digit verification code via integration with ITSP.
3. The destination Operator delivers the phone call to the user’s device and the user enters the code in the widget form for verification.
